Jensen Beach

I am getting ready for the party tonight. Well, the laundry is going and I am sitting here typing this. I have my company party tonight at a country club in Jensen Beach, FL. We need to wear semi-formal attire and I think if I wear a Jacket without a tie, that would be considered appropriate. I hope I am not under dressed for the occasion. I will let you know.

Orlando

I had a very strange weekend that involved a Funeral, Downtown Disney, Scrabble, Dolphins and Appliances. After I finished work on Friday, I went up to the in-law's house. Caty was already there since she helped Mami with a yard sale. That night we played scrabble and ate some empanadas. On Saturday, we had to attend a funeral for the wife of Papi's boss. She was a friend of the family and died sudden at the young age of 60. While everyone was finishing their goodbyes, Caty and I went out by the Indian river. I saw, for the first time, wild dolphins swimming by and playing. Now I have seen dolphins before, but when it is unexpected, it is a surreal sight. Later that day we took out the hanging microwave, the stove and the refrigerator. I didn't help with the dishwasher, but when Caty and I saw Mami and Papi on the floor all wet and yelling turn the water off in Spanish; we could not help but to laugh. After the fiasco was over, we went to Downtown Disney for dinner and some shopping. I haven't been there in about seven years on vacation. This time I didn't feel like a tourist because I was able to drive there in our own vehicles. We had a great time that night with eating at Wolfgang Pucks and buying our 2008 Disney ornament. Then Sunday came and we got the new appliances. They went in easier than taking them out. Well, at least the microwave was a lot easier. And in between the appliance moving, we all managed to play another game of Scrabble.

We will be flying out of Orlando, Landing in St. Louis, Picking up Asja, and then driving 180 miles north to get there. I think by 11 o'clock tomorrow night I will be at her sister's house enjoying some wine. I can wait to watch football and eat lots of yummy food. Thanks Patty Young!!!! Your the best!!!

West Palm Beach

I have been living in Port St. Lucie since August and I have not had the time to go exploring lick I did this weekend. I had a great time going to West Palm Beach's shopping and night life areas. I am sure I didn't hit them all, but I know I will be going back on a regular basis. The stores, the food, the live music, and the weather make this place a wonderful place for me. I am looking forward to the entire holiday season and hope my friends and family will be able to celebrate them with me.

CityPlace

Tonight seems to be bringing on a new adventure. I am heading to CityPlace in West Palm Beach with my bride and her parents. This will be the first time I get to see artificial snow being blown. They shot from the top of all the buildings along the street and I know all the people will enjoy it, especially me! This is like an outside mall with plenty of palm trees and fountains to feast your eyes on. I have been told that the movie theater is a must. Not only do you get to see great new movies, but you get to do it while sitting on a couch and being served dinner and drinks. I think Caty and I will leave that for another night when we go out with just the two of us ;).

Chiropractic Dilemma

So, I went on an interview today with a chiropractor. It went well and I could just work afternoons starting in January. But when April hits, he would like me to be there during the day as well. This is where the problems lies. I would have to leave my teaching job at Keiser University. My teaching job is great because I am done at 1 o'clock everyday and is a salary position with benefits. I want to be a doctor, but I can't leave myself or my family in a bad position. I hope the answer comes to me soon.

Breakfast

I have been missing breakfast lately and if you know me, You know breakfast is my favorite meal. I just started a new job 3 weeks ago a t Keiser University. I am a full time faculty member but I get there at 7 in the morning. So breakfast seems to wait since I am done with work by 1. It is a great job; I just need to get back to eating better again.

So, I just found the Alviene's blogspot. I can't believe I saw my own name in there (Jason Alviene). WOW.... Somebody that I never even new existed has my name on their blog.... Well I guess we are family, but I don't know who this person is. I did get to see a picture of my dad when he was about 11. It will be enjoyable to read this in the up coming future.

Energy

Do you think we need new energy? Well, energy can neither be created nor destroyed. So what kind of new energy would it be. I guess it would just be the same old energy with a new use. Like salt water. It is used to power our environment with the climates we are currently enjoying, but someone was able to convert it to usable energy in an engine. Now why has that not been bought up since salt water is easily accessible and wouldn't cost but to transport it to you. Well that is the problem, think of how much money would be lost in the use of salt water. Nobody can trademark it or patent it. Well it is just a thought and I hope with the crisis we are in, that this will be resolved soon.
